🌈Welcome To Our COVID-19 Page🌈
This year 2020 is the year of the nurse. Being the year of the nurse CNMA- UK just like many other nursing groups in the UK had planned some key activities within our local community to mark the occasion. Unfortunately, due to the COVID 19 pandemic facing the world, all our planned activities have been put on hold. The pandemic has left most of us in the United Kingdom, the rest of the world and most importantly some of the developing countries including Cameroon in continuous struggle to fight this pandemic. As a result, CNMA-UK have had to put our face to face monthly meetings on hold as well as all our planned activities for the year. We now meet once a month virtually, every second Sunday of the month and have given the following donations as support to our local community here in the UK and back home in Cameroon;
Financial donations to the following charity groups in the UK;
- Bexley & Greenwich hospice
- St Joseph hospice
- St Baths NHS Foundation Trust
COVID support to the following hospitals in Cameroon in the form of PPE and good donations;
- Reginal hospital Limbe
- provincial hospital Bamenda
- Two health centers in the western region(mainly Le Centre des Soins Integres de Bakassa, and the Balengou Integrated Health Centre) View
We continue to monitor the situation and plan ways to offer our support where possible as a diaspora group both here in the UK and back home in Cameroon. Please let us know if you have any suggestions to the group with regards to humanitarian support to fighting COVID -19.
Thank You
